Ok, long time, no post.

In this item I will explain my religious views, and the first thing you need to know is that I am 100% atheist. If I were to describe myself, it would be something like "Atheist, until proven otherwise". On the other hand, I would consider myself spiritual.

So why am I atheist? Well, I don't believe in some sort of entity that put us here to do what we do, that will punish us when we fail him/her/it, etc. In my honest opinion, this God is just a way for us humans to give sense to our lives, because we are too narrow-minded to accept that there might be no purpose. Also the loss of friends and stuff can be really hard, and this God can help you with the grieve. I personally believe that it is too easy to blame God for everything you can't explain yourself. You can blame everyone you want, but in most cases, the blame will be partially yours. By blaming God, you will skip your own fault. This will result in not taking responsibility for your actions, and thus not learning from your mistakes.

But there are more reasons not to believe in a God. I think most people agree with me if I say that should there be a God, it would have a far greater intelligence than us human. This intelligence will make that he can "move" itself in our thoughts, to know what we think. He can't blame us atheist for not believing, because we think differently than others. In our world, there is no proof for the existence of some sort of supreme being. I believe a God will understand that. If he doesn't, well, he should have a really good excuse for it. I honestly think that intelligence in the broadest sense of the word includes forgiving those who didn't know, and couldn't know. If God was to punish the not-believers for not believing, he would be nothing more than a thug abusing his position.

I also need to mention the hypocrisy of a supreme being, one that is all-knowing and can do anything. Let's take the almighty Christian God as example. He can do anything he want, so he should be able to make a rock so big and so heavy, none can lift it. This includes himself, because if he can't make a rock that big, he can't do everything. On the other hand, if he can't lift the rock, he still can't do everything. So he can't do both, and thus such a supreme being can't exist.

And what is the point in believing when you're strong enough to accept the unknown? You can waste your entire life living the way God wants you, and you should if that makes you feel best. But assuming there is no afterlife means that it won't come as a disappointment if it doesn't exists (although you'll be dead to find out, and thus you won't experience it in any way). If there, however, is some sort of afterlife, it would come as an added bonus, which you will be grateful for. And if you believe in the "perfect" afterlife (such as Heaven), it could be a shock if the afterlife is just something like our own earth. The atheist will be grateful for the extra time, will the believers probably feel betrayed, and will drown in their own self-pity.

In the end, there is only one, yes one, thing I hate about religion. They all think there right, while there is absolutely no proof to back them up. How can you convince someone strong of mind with something as irrational and hypocrite as a supreme being that dumped us on this little planet, just to watch us or something? Religious people somehow "know" there right, and for that they will punish those who oppose them. Do they feel stupid or something, and try to hide it by playing thug? Of course, there are those who believe, but still accept the fact that everyone should decide for themselves. Cheers to those heroes. For the rest, not accepting that some won't believe in unproven theories, is a lack of intelligence in my eyes. The same goes for the not-believers when they call believers stupid.

You can, and should think everything you want to think, as long as you give that same chance to others. Most of life isn't true or false, as mathematics is, and you shouldn't act like if it is that easy.

*Before I forget, this article is my personal opinion. If you have different thought and want to share them with me, feel free to email or leave a comment.*
